Peep A sweet puppy born at the end of January & part of our Easter puppy crew. This adorable mixed breed is friendly, active, & always on the go. He loves exploring the yard, running with other dogs, & taking in the world around him. With his beautiful markings, he’s truly a standout. Peep is already making great progress with potty training, crate training, & learning to walk on a leash. He would make a wonderful family dog. He still needs additional vaccinations & will be neutered & microchipped.	Jelly Bean A sweet puppy born at the end of January and part of our Easter puppy crew. This adorable mixed breed is all ears with stunning markings that make him truly stand out. He’s friendly, social, & loves both dogs & people. He's happiest outside, running around & spending time with his “peeps.” He’s active, curious, & always ready for fun. He's making great progress with potty/crate training & leash training. He still needs his vaccination & to be neutered & microchipped.	Bunny A sweet female puppy born at the end of January & part of our Easter puppy crew. She is petite and has the softest fluffy coat that makes her impossible to resist.She’s friendly, gentle, and loves being around both people and other dogs. Bunny enjoys exploring, playing, and soaking up all the attention she can get. Bunny is working on potty/crate training, & learning to walk on a leash. She would make a wonderful family companion. She still needs additional puppy vaccinations & to be spayed.
Maurice ~2y.o, weighing in at 49lbs.This handsome boy is full of energy, loves his toys, & will keep you smiling with his playful, affectionate personality.He would do best as the only dog so he can soak up all the love and attention. Maurice is currently working with our team on building confidence, learning an out command, and improving his basic skills. He is smart, eager, & just needs a home that will give him structure, consistency, and lots of love. He's neutered, UTD on vaccines, & microchipped.	Remi A 4m.o Rottweiler pup with a big personality. She is housebroken, crate trained, rides well in the car & dog friendly. Remi is highly intelligent, very food motivated, & already knows sit, showing strong focus & a willingness to work. She will continue to thrive with a committed owner who can maintain clear expectations and ongoing training. She is not a fit for homes with young children. Her adoption will be finalized once fully vetted and further along in training.	Henrietta 4y.o tan beauty.Despite a rough past with old bite wounds & some skin issues that need a little TLC, her spirit has never dimmed.She is strong on leash, great in the car & crate. She seems dog friendly with males but will need a bit more testing to be sure. She is up to date on vaccines and will need to be spayed and receive a full vet check.
Olaf A gentle & tolerant 4y.o Mastiff mix.He came to us as a stray with multiple wounds & signs of long-term neglect, yet he has remained friendly & easy to handle with people. Weighing 80lbs, Olaf is underweight but improving with regular care & feeding.He has some old facial scars, pressure sores on his legs/paws, ear tip irritation, & a “happy tail” injury that may require partial amputation.He's comfortable with full handling, shows no guarding behaviors, & has been dog-tested with a calm female.	Nyla Possibly a Lab/Pit mix, who came to us from an inner city animal control facility. She is a little shy at first but very sweet & just a baby who needs a safe place to land. As a young puppy she will need a family ready for all the typical puppy training including housebreaking, crate training, & learning basic commands. She should not be left alone for long periods of time.	Archie A 2 y.o, medium sized handsome boy who was found as a stray. He's the perfect mix of playful & affectionate. He is reported to be dog-okay & enjoys being around people. Archie is up to date on vaccines and will be neutered. He’s currently in boarding where our dedicated volunteers are spending time with him, helping him settle in and shine.
Broley 4 y.o bully who recently returned to our care after a placement did not work out due to an incident outside of the home. He'd been living successfully as the only pet in the home & truly thrived there. He's crate trained, housebroken. He is friendly, affectionate, and bonds deeply with his people. He passed all of his assessments, has no resource guarding issues, and enjoys light walks He is great with older kids & would love a fenced yard (preferably 6ft)	Drake 18m.o Doxie mix with a big personality in a 25lb body. He’s always happy, tail wagging, & ready to be your little sidekick. This sweet, goofy guy loves being around his people & is a favorite among our volunteers. He’s playful, affectionate, & would make a fun, loyal companion.Drake would do best in a dog-friendly home without cats or small children. He’s looking for someone to love him and include him in everyday life.	Ella A 3&1/2 y.o pittie mix with a bright spirit & a loving heart.She loves affection, leans in for pets, & forms strong bonds with her people.She previously lived with another dog and did well. In evaluations she was playful and social. She would do best with older children and no cats.Estrella is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
Valentina Valentina is a 3 year old petite beauty at around 40 pounds, with the most soulful eyes and a tail that truly never stops wagging. She is quiet, gentle, and absolutely loves giving kisses. Valentina seems dog friendly and is learning how to walk on leash while continuing to grow her confidence. She would make a devoted companion for someone who appreciates a softer, tender heart and wants a loyal shadow by their side.	Amora Amora is ~18 m.o & 45lbs of sweetness wrapped up with the cutest little piglet tail you have ever seen, constantly wiggling with excitement. She is learning how to walk on leash & sometimes does the most adorable little army crawl as she figures it all out. Amora loves to sit right at your feet, happiest when she is close to her person. She seems to do well with other dogs & would thrive in a patient home that can help build her confidence & show her the world is a safe & loving place	Esmeralda If sweet snorts & a little snoring make you smile, she may be your perfect match.She enjoys walks (when it’s not too cold), chewing on bones, playing with toys, & curling up with her people for a cozy night in.We estimate she is about 4 years old.She is making nice progress around other dogs and may be able to live with the right canine companion with slow introductions. We are unable to cat test her.
Taffy 4m.o pittie pup with a big personality. She's passed her temperament testing, did great meeting other dogs, is playful, social, & eager to learn. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, & microchipped. A home that has the time & patience for training, crate training, & housebreaking is needed. She would love to have another dog in the home or a solid plan to keep her dog social through appropriate outlets. Puppy training is strongly encouraged to help her grow into the best version of herself	Chessie 4-year-old brindle beauty, She’s loving, playful, and happiest when she’s leaning in for snuggles. She would do best in a home with children 10 years or older and without cats. She should avoid chew toys since she tends to get a little too excited about them, and she’ll need slow introductions with other dogs due to her high energy. She’ll thrive with someone who can provide ongoing training	Major This handsome 3–4-y.o boy was found as a stray in a NJ city, but no one ever came looking for him. He’s sweet, gentle & pretty low-key though his body shows signs of neglect, but he’s already feeling better thanks to some TLC. Major has done great at events, loves events and is always rolling over for belly rubs. He's said to be dog-friendly, but we’ll be testing further. He's in boarding while waiting for a foster or forever family.
Jax This guy is 5 year old Lab mix with the sweetest face & an even sweeter heart. He came in as a stray wearing a collar with his birthday on it, but no one ever came to claim him. Jax is a total lovebug who lights up when he sees his people. He enjoys walks, has great manners, & knows his basic commands. He’s a fetch pro, loves attention, & just wants to be part of a family. He’d do best in a home without cats or young kids, but he’s friendly with female dogs & eager to please.	Willow Willow is a 6 month tan pittie pup with the sweetest little face and a heart to match. She's a wonderful puppy without the chaotic puppy energy when she's alone. She knows basic commands, is house broken & crate trained. A friendly, playful male may be a great match or she could thrive alone. Training lessons are included with her adoption.	Sheba Sheba is just 4 years old and came to us in heartbreaking condition—having lost nearly half her body weight in only a few months. Thanks to fast action from AHS Newark and the support of our board members, she is now safe and starting her road to recovery. She's been doing amazing in her foster home and at events loving everyone (including other dogs) that she meets. She is crate trained, housebroken & walks amazing on leash.
Gemma Gemma is a gentle 2 year old sweetie with soulful eyes and a soft nature. After months in her foster home learning to trust again, she is so ready for a forever family. Gemma loves cozy blankets, quiet naps, learning new tricks and playtime. She shines in a calm home as the only pet and thrives with patient, loving humans who understand her shy side. Give her time, love, structure and she'll reward you with unwavering companionship.	Carson Carson is 6 years young, housetrained, non-destructive, & listens incredibly well. He is a well mannered gentleman when it comes to taking treats, food or toys. He was surrender with his housemate (Melony), but would do best as the only dog.	Nala Nala is a 2-year-old pit/lab mix who’s smart, affectionate, and full of playful energy. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and loves fetch, walks, and giving kisses. Her adoption fee is sponsored—she’s just waiting for her perfect match!
Dempsey a 3½-year-old heart-stealer with brains, beauty,& manners to match. This smart boy has flourished in foster care & is now ready to find his forever person someone confident, consistent,& ready to let him shine. He thrives with structure and clear leadership. He is friendly with both dogs and cats, and he loves adventures like hiking, running, and car rides. Best suited for an adult home; he is housebroken, crate trained, non-destructive, and fully trained, always eager to show off his skills.	DOZER This handsome boy is about 2 years old . He has been staying with one of our volunteers and is working on being the perfect pup. He is very smart and loves treats. He is super playful with typical puppy energy. Dozer loves playing catch and running around in the yard. He must be the only pet in the home and is recommended with older kids.
